We were thrilled when our own home was selected by New England Living TV, a regional lifestyle television series on CBS Boston/WBZ TV 4, to be featured in Episode 12 of Season 2, which aired on Sunday, June 17th and airs again on Sunday, September 16th. The series, currently filming its third season, combines elements from HGTV, Food Network and the Travel Channel, focusing on the things that matter most to everyone – family, friends, good food and home. Each episode highlights a different New England community, with Episode 12 focusing on our hometown of Boxford.

The show begins with a tour at our recently renovated home. We originally built our timber-frame home 25 years ago. With our kids grown and gone, we decided it was time to update the house, especially the kitchen. With the help of interior designer Holly Gagne, we opened up the floor plan to make it easier to entertain and bring the style up to date.

AFTER

After the house tour, we take New England Living TV host Parker Kelley to visit some of our favorite local spots, including lunch at West Village Provisions and a hike in Lockwood Forest. Kelley than visits ifarm, a 19th century historic farmstead our company helped owner Christine Barensfeld restore.

Our favorite part of the show was the cooking portion — chef Carlo Berdahn, who owns Andover, MA restaurant,  Yella Grille prepared dinner in our new kitchen, which we got to enjoy with a few dinner guests!
